Pumpkin Patches

I love Pumpkin Patches! We usually have amazing weather in September and October. Last year was the first time I took advantage of this time of year and took the kids to different pumpkin patches almost daily! This year we got off to a rough start with a rainier September, but October has been so pretty! Between field trips, and our afternoon excursions, we're definitely getting our fix:). 

The Pumpkin Patch (Sauvie Island)-My favorite place to go with the kids, and only 15 minutes away!

Bernet Farms (Scappoose) This one is great because it's so close, always pretty quiet, and they have a corn maze you can wonder through for free, which the kids love!!)

We actually lost Kate for a while in the maze:).  Luckily it wasn't too big, and we found her!

An Afternoon at the Beach

Bill and Maureen were at the coast for the weekend, so we went over to visit them for an afternoon. The views from their condo were so beautiful! The kids had fun swimming, watching the kites, and hanging out!

Girl's Weekend

It was great to spend time with my college girlfriends over the weekend! We've been getting together every year since graduation, and this year we met up in Scottsdale, AZ.  The weather was awesome, and we all appreciated having leisurely meals and not having to be on a schedule!

It always seems fitting while in AZ to get a picture with a cactus:).

Mom and Karen's Visit!

Mom and Karen arrived bearing beds:). We were so grateful that they got here before the big storm, or typhoon as we called it!  We had a great weekend of arranging Grace and Kate's bedroom, going to our first Zumba class, meeting Emily's baby, Addie, and mostly enjoying each other's company:).

Their bedroom turned out super cute!  So grateful for new beds!! 

And so fun to be able to jump on them!

Amazed and so grateful that Grandma Cindy has the patience to cook with the kids!!

Karen and I went to Black Light Zumba! So much fun, and so glad it was dark in there! It motivated me to work on my dance moves:).

Summer activities at/around home!

The majority of  my post are from our trips.  I take a lot more pictures when we are traveling than day to day.  But I want to at least include some of the things we did around here this summer!

Pat's birthday at the Kessis. 

My birthday in Portland! We went to a park, then out to dinner!

One of our favorite activities has been to go to Kruger Farm on Sauvie Island.  It's free entertainment for the kids.  They love climbing the trees there, and looking at the animals!

Pat's cousins came from Seattle for a few days.  It was so fun to go down to the little creek near his parents' house!

I think we had about 10 people in the back of Bill's truck for the ride up the hill!!
