Fun Week in Colusa!

We had a great week in Colusa.  It was especially fun because Karen is living there with Owen until she has her baby.  And Luke is working there now, so we got to see him almost every day, which was really fun.   I always love to see as much family as possible while in town, and it was so nice to have a couple family members already there! Below are some of the highlights from the week. .

I told the kids they could have an ice cream if they stayed up in their beds at night.  Fortunately, we had many days where the received a cone! And on the third day of staying up in their rooms, they got to go to Jeff's! 

  

Tennis in the Park

I'm so impressed with Tennis in the Park! We've been able to see it in action a few times this year when we've been home.  There are quite a few kids that attend, and they all really enjoy it!  

They were really nice to let Grace and Will join one of their games.

Will and I went over to help  Luke clean up the yard at his new office.  As Luke and I were both outside working on the lawn, I flashed back 25 years, when were part of the Steidlmayer lawn crew.  I didn't like it so much then, but appreciate it now, and would love to have Will do something similar!

It was so fun to get to see Erin's family, the Steidlmayer family and the other guests who could make it to Erin's shower! 

Mother's Day

This Mother's Day, I am especially grateful to be a mom.  It's the most humbling thing I've ever done, and the most fulfilling!  

I had a fun day hanging out with my kids.  It was funny because I'm around them all the time, but today I was more cognizant/appreciative of being a mom and therefore enjoyed them even more than usual!  

I told them that they had to play tennis with me because it was Mother's Day:).  

More Beautiful Weather!

The last few weeks have been unseasonably warm, and we've been loving it! I was laughing because it got up to 85 the other day, and I was almost complaining that it was too hot!

Happy Anniversary!

6 years! Yay! Pat and I had a great, kid-free, afternoon hanging out at Skamania Lodge. We then headed back into Portland and had fun hanging out in the city, enjoying the beautiful weather!

I'm so thankful for such a great husband!
