Mother's Day

I really like Mother's Day:).  It's a day when I feel like I'm off duty, and can choose what activities we do.  We started the morning with the kids and Pat cleaning the house while I worked out.  It's amazing what a treat it was to come home to a clean house that I had not cleaned myself:).  Later that day we played tennis, then headed to UP for a baseball game.  It was a beautiful day, and great to be outside!

Grace and Kate didn't last too long at the baseball game, so we had fun walking around the campus!
They were giving away cookies/brownies in the outfield!
Tennis time!

Will is 6!

Will celebrated his 6th birthday with a construction/Burgerville birthday party. He and his friends got a tour of Pat's new building, then they walked across the street for ice cream and cupcakes at Burgerville.

And on his actual birthday, we had a ditch day and went to Seaside, where Pat's parents were staying. It was the warmest I've ever been on the Oregon Coast! The kids had so much fun swimming in the pools and playing on the beach!

We left the beach to head to his first t-ball game! Pat and I are coaching, which is really fun, and the kids had a great first game.  T-ball is pretty funny because you don't keep score, you don't have outs, and you can only go to first base, even if you could have  had a home run.  I learned from last year, that if they can make contact, run fast to first, and do not fight over the ball with their teammates, then we are making progress:).

Beach time!

Kate was a little more cautious, and wanted to stay in the sand with Grandma Reen.

Happy Birthday to Will!

Watch out, Grace!
Will got a kite for his birthday, and had fun flying it with Aunt Kelly.
