Basketball clinics and other summer activities. . ..

I asked Will how he was going to make money this summer and he said he wanted to do basketball clinics. He did a total of 7 clinics, 10-1, two hours of basketball and then swimming.  I was grateful for friends and family who sent their kids!

It brought me back to tennis camp days with Eric and Karen. I told him we had to start the day with music:)!  I wish I would have tracked down one of the CDs Karen made!

Our previous neighbor, Annette, was really sweet and treated the kids to DQ one afternoon!

We did the Race for Neil.  The girls walked the 6k with Aunt Kelly, and Pat and I ran it.  Abby and Bradley ran the 10k.  Then Kate, Annie and Leo did the fun run, and Kate won 1st place!
Then is was off to the church campout with our cool trailer that Pat rented:)!! He had wanted to rent a trailer for the campout for the last few years.  The kids had fun staying in it with him!
We all went to the zoo one morning.  We hadn't been there in a while, and it's always a fun outing!

Sunriver

We were so grateful to get to Sunriver this summer!  It was a last minute, quick trip.  The place we stayed was right across from SHARC, which was really fun! The highlights were SHARC, biking and seeing Emily and Brandt!

We took a long bikeride on the river loop!

SHARC was so fun!

We took a nightly bikeride to the Lodge and walked to the airport and it was so pretty!

We got the kids Goody's one night. I was shocked that a single ice cream cost $6!
It was so great to see Emily and her family and Uncle Clain ,Aunt Jackie, and Joey!

We liked the little cabiny house we stayed in.

Kate's birthday, my parent's visit

When we got back from Timberline, my parents were already at our house.  It was Kate and my mom's birthdays, so we had fun celebrating them! My mom made a fun cake, which the kids loved!
The stayed for a few more days, and it made our normal days at home feel like more of a staycation!
And Pat and I were able to use our free night at Arlington Club to have a night away! It was so great!

Timberline Lodge/Kate's birthday part 1

I wanted to go to Glacier National Park this summer.  When I realized that wasn't going to happen, I brainstormed Plan B, which was a night at Timberline Lodge and a few days in Sunriver.   And a fun addition to our plan was that my parents drove up to our house. They were there when we got back from Timberline, and we celebrated Kate and my mom's birthdays!  It was a really fun week!

We got to Timberline at 4:30 on Tuesday night, made dinner in our cool bunk room with the griddle that we brought because Kate wanted to make breakfast on her birthday morning, then hiked after dinner. The kids wanted pictures on every rock, so our hike was more like a walk from rock to rock:). It's such a beautiful spot right on the moutain!

Kate's birthday breakfast!

The kids loved that they could go through our window to where we hiked!
